A Mother's Love Is Different
A Mother's love is different, Than other kinds of love. For a Mother's love came from, Our Father up above.
He made each mother beautiful, For beauty's from the heart. He made her kind and gentle, From the very start.
God gave Mother's special gifts, He made them all unique. But one thing all mother's love, Are kisses on their cheek.
God gave Mother's extra patience, Lots of kindness too. She cares about her family, Each day through and through.
God gives her love and she loves Him, She shares God with her kids. They grow up knowing God is love, By what she said and did.
She knows that she could never raise, Her kids without the Lord. She trusts in Him and then she sees, The blessings He has poured.
A Mother's love is special, In every single way. Her love is unconditional, Her love is here to stay.
So when you see your Mother, Make sure you say these words. "I love you Mom, you are the best," Don't let them go unheard.

A
Mother's Day
In the morning when I rise, I ask the Lord for He is wise. To give me wisdom, patience too, To send the children off to school.
As I go about my day, I read my Bible and I pray. That I may get my work all done, So we can have some family fun. As I put the kids to bed, I make sure that their prayers are said. We thank the Lord for being here, For loving us throughout the year. As I'm drifting off to sleep, I ask the Lord my days to keep. To guide my each and everyday, So we may follow God's own way.

Made
By You
You gave me a Grandma So gentle and true. I know dear God That she came from You. You gave her a heart So filled with love. It could only have come From the Father above. You gave her patience, And kindness too. She served others, But first came You. She taught me that You'll love me forever. Protecting me, guiding me, But leaving me, never. She had so much pain When You took her dear son, But Your strength pulled her through, For You gave her Your Son. She takes hold of Your words, Promises true. She turns no where else, Except to You. Thanks for my Grandma, And her faithful way. I hope someday, Others can say. That I am faithful, Loving and true. Just like my Grandma, Who was made by You.

My
Gift For You
My gift for you this Mother’s day is a heart full of love. I’m just so thankful for you Mom and I thank the Lord above. For giving me the kindest Mom, who taught me about God. And for loving me throughout the years, even though I’m terribly flawed.
I know I gave you a hard time when I was just a child. I know I wasn’t always nice but still you always smiled. I’m sorry for the things I did when I was growing up. And Mom I’m very thankful that on me you didn’t give up.
I guess cause now I am a Mom, of children of my own. I know first hand how hard it is and sometimes I just groan. It makes me think back to you Mom and how I treated you. Oh how I wish that I could change the heartache I put you through.
I know I could have been much worse but still I’m sure you cried. I’m sure you laid awake sometimes thinking, ‘what haven’t I tried'? But knowing as I know you Mom, I know you prayed for me. And as a child I asked Christ in so I could be set free.
Today I’m living for the Lord, I give Jesus my all. No matter what life brings my way up to my Lord I call. Like you did Mom, I teach my kids about God’s awesome love. And every day I’m on my knees, sending prayers to God above.
So thank you Mom for everything, for the example that you are. For always showing that you care, whether I’m near or far. When I think of you dear Mom I always have to smile. For when I’m down you cheer me up and make me feel worthwhile.
Thank you Mom, you are the best, for you love fills my heart. And as an adult now I know I was blessed right from the start. I know I do not say enough that to me you mean so much. And I just want to thank you Mom, for the life that you did touch.

I wrote this poem for my Mom for Mother's Day ~ 2004

In
My Heart
Words cannot express enough Just what I want to say. I don't know how to tell you That I love your special way.
I love you for your kindness, For showing others love. But most of all I love you For sharing God above.
Your words and actions say so much About how much you care. So much kindness fills your heart And so much love you share.
All the love you've given me Is in my heart to stay. I cherish it and hold it close Every single day.
If tomorrow Jesus calls you home, My eyes will fill with tears. I'll miss you but I'll thank the Lord For all those special years.
If tomorrow should start without you We won't be far apart. For I will always keep you close Right here in my heart.

I Prayed
I said a prayer for you today That all your pain would fade away. That you would feel His love for you Surround your soul your whole day through.
I asked the Lord to give you peace And that your worries would decrease. I asked for joy and laughter too And that He'd make your gray skies blue.
I prayed that if you just can’t cope That He would shower you with hope. I prayed He’d take away your fears And that He’d wipe away your tears.
I prayed and asked that you would feel His gentle hand reach down and heal. And when you feel down and depressed I asked the Lord to give you rest.
He knows you may not understand But He has all of your days planned. He’ll never leave you this is true He’s with you every moment through.
We all do struggle in our life Trials we face that brings us strife. Just lean on God and others now And you’ll get through it all somehow.
You see I love you very much And I pray you feel God’s gentle touch. Surround your heart and soul each day As you keep trusting in His way.
I said a prayer down on my knee That your pain and worries would just flee. I said a prayer for you today And everyday for you I’ll pray.

I
Said A Prayer
I said a prayer for you my friend, That your struggles would soon end. That you would feel God's peace with you, As you trust Him each day through. I prayed that you would feel His love, Rain down on you from up above. I asked Him to take care of you, Fill you with joy and laughter too. I prayed that He would let you know, That He will never let you go. That He'd pour blessings down on you, And make your grey skies turn to blue. I prayed that God would give you rest, And that He'd answer your request. I asked the Lord to touch your soul, Fill you with hope and make you whole. My friend I prayed that you would feel, His gentle touch reach down and heal. I said a prayer for you my friend, My best wishes to you I send.

Special Friend When you feel sad my special friend. I wish you joy that will never end. When everything is going wrong. I'll ask the Lord to make you strong. When you feel like you just can't cope. I pray you feel God's awesome hope. When giving up is easy to do, I pray your faith will get you through. When you're lonely, I wish you love, The kind that comes from God above. When you are down and feeling stressed, In His loving arms you will find rest. When your pain leaves and you feel strong, I'll sing the Lord a thank-you song. When you feel joy beyond compare, I'll thank the Lord for answered prayer. When clear blue skies fill up your day, I'll give Him praise for guiding your way. In joy or sorrow He's there for you, No matter what He'll get you through. For you each day I'll say a prayer, It's the best way I can show I care. You my friend are special to me, And each day I'll be on my knee.

I've
Thought About You
Hey my friend it's been awhile, Since I took the time to see you smile.
I see you each day but never say hi, It seems like I'm always just running by.
So how are you doing today my friend? My prayers for you did not end.
I asked the Lord each day in prayer, To show you that He'll always care.
I asked him to fill your days with hope, And to give you His strength on days you can't cope.
I prayed He'd shine His love on you, And wrap His arms around you too.
Sometimes I'm busy but I want to share, That you are special and I'll always care.
So next time you're feeling down and depressed, Remember I'm praying that you will find rest.
I've thought about you a lot my friend, And to God above many prayers I send.
Hey my friend it's been awhile, And I'm looking forward to seeing your smile.
